Goals, Strategies, and Objectives
Goal 1: Decrease underage drinking and binge drinking
Indicator: Percent of youth who drank alcohol in past 30 days (YRBS)
Strategy: Small Talks Campaign and youth messaging/education
Objective 1.1: Explore, plan, and implement a billboard and radio campaign aimed at youth, parents, and other stakeholders by September 2025.
Strategy: Alcohol Compliance Checks
Objective 1.2: Conduct alcohol compliance checks annually within the city of Fond du Lac.
Objective 1.3: Conduct alcohol compliance checks within Fond du Lac County by June 2026.
Strategy: Community Events Best Practices
Objective 1.4: Update the Community Events Best Practices Toolkit by December 2025.
Objective 1.5: Implement the toolkit with at least two events annually beginning in 2026.
Goal 2: Decrease binge drinking among adults
Indicator: Percent of adults who report binge drinking in past 30 days (FDL Co Community Health Survey)
Strategy: Sober Event Campaign
Objective 2.1: Explore a sober campaign to cultivate a sober-friendly environment at community events by year-end 2025.
Objective 2.2: Implement the sober campaign (e.g. tent/toolkit) at two events annually beginning in 2026.
Goal 3: Decrease misuse of opioids and prescription medications
Indicators: Opioid-related death rate (WISH); Percent of youth who report using prescription medication for non-medical use (YRBS)
Strategy: Drug Drop Boxes/Rx Take Back Days
Objective 3.1: Host a spring and fall drug take back event and campaign annually to increase awareness of safe disposal options.
Strategy: Peer Support Services
Objective 3.2: Host a certified peer specialist training in Fond du Lac County by December 2026.
Strategy: Harm Reduction Program (Naloxone Training and Distribution)
Objective 3.3: Expand Naloxone and Fentanyl Test Strip distribution by two partners and/or attend two new events for community distribution by April 2026.
