You are here

Thanks to the sponsorhships from the Alliant Energy Foundation, SPROUT, Pilgrim United Church of Christ, and the FDL Area United Way, we are excited to announce the installation of the first Born Learning Trail in Fond du Lac County!

Alliant Energy and Society Insurance Interns will be installing our first trail at Lakeside Park. The trail will be open to the public the following day with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 30, 2017 at 12pm!

What is Born Learning?

Born Learning is an innovative public engagement campaign that helps parents, caregivers and communities create quality early learning opportunities for young children. A born learning trail contains 10 interactive signs with activities for adults to engage in with young children to turn an outdoor trip into a fun learning experience.

How can I get Involved?

Born Learning Trails can be installed at a park, a child care center or school, a library or an indoor community gathering space. If you or your company would like to sponsor a new Born Learning Trail in Fond du Lac County, or if you are interested in helping to install a Born Learning Trail, please contact the Fond du Lac Area United Way at 920-921-7010.
