How It Started

F.R.E.S.H. Bites was born from a shared community vision during the 2024 Community Health Shark Tank Event, hosted by the Wisconsin Community Health Foundation. With support form the Community Health Endowment Fund Improvement and Resource Team, this initiative was created to build a healthier future for families across Fond du Lac County.

Growing Together

Currently, F.R.E.S.H. Bites serves 201 children across 4 childcare centers in Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac, and Brandon. Support comes from 4 local farms in Fond du Lac, Ripon, Rosendale, and Campbellsport.

With continued support, we aim to

  • Reach all 33 early childhood centers in the county
  • Expand garden-based education and nutrition to meet the needs of each childcare center
  • Establish central, temperature-controlled distribution hubs
