Together, you’ll spend time doing everyday things: grabbing lunch, playing sports, exploring hobbies, talking about school, or just hanging out. Over time, your relationship becomes something that changes both of your lives.

You don’t need special training. You don’t need to be a superhero. You just need to be there.

We are all about helping people with intellectual disabilities and their loved ones flourish!  Fearless4ever was started any two women (Mickie Anderson and Clarice Yentsch) who have at various times in their lives been given the titles of biological mom, foster mom, adoptive mom, and caregiver of many.  We have developed a non-profit comprised entirely of volunteers .  Our goal is to walk beside people with disabilities and also those who care for them to enable them to flourish emotionally, mentally and physically!

The highest priority of Fearless4ever is to promote the emotional health of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing people with intellectual disabilities. Currently we are working on several projects and need volunteers to assist with them.  We have just started a dance class for those with disabilities and are in need of volunteers to assist with it.  It is offered every other Wednesday from 6-8 pm in Fond du Lac. Emotional wellness is improved by physical activity and those with IDD often are unable to join a gym or take an exercise class due to their many challenges. Also, we are working on developing a traveling exhibition which would allow attendees to see the world through the eyes of someone with IDD and as a result gain a deeper understanding of the special challenges they might face. We also are seeking volunteers who may have special talents in art, creativity, computer skills and other areas to think outside the box with us to plan and implement programs which would enhance the lives of those with disabilities.

SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE

At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is where it is today because of the passionate volunteers who believe in the mission of getting kids off the floor and into beds. In just a few hours of your time, you can make a direct, permanent impact in the quality of life for dozens, if not hundreds and maybe even thousands of kids in your community.

We’re always looking for volunteers to build bunks, go on bed deliveries, be vocal advocates for our mission and start new SHP Chapters in unserved communities.

Solutions Center Shelter & Support Services, Inc., Fond du Lac, WI.SOLUTIONS CENTER

Solutions Center exists to serve two very different concerns: Domestic Abuse and Homelessness. While these two issues may have their dis-similarities, they have one very important thing in common- they affect human beings. Solutions Center: Nurtures the dignity of the human spirit - Helps those in need - Provides safety, offers support and restores hope. Oftentimes, domestic abuse and homelessness aren't so distantly related. Many of our victims of domestic abuse find themselves homeless because they've left their homes in fear of their own safety. Many of our homeless clients have dealt with abusive families for years, including in their childhood. We come to find, in many cases, these two issues are inextricably linked and Solutions Center is extremely well-equipped to help people dealing with either or both.

Solutions Center offers a multitude of services to those dealing with domestic abuse and homelessness.  Our staff is made up of caring and dedicated professionals, on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to work closely with those in crisis.  Our professionals understand that every situation is different, and services are personalized to each individual that is in need of assistance. Individuals in crisis are encouraged to contact Solutions Center at any time.

The Community Blood Center | Connecting ...

COMMUNITY BLOOD CENTER

The Community Blood Center is about connecting lives and sharing life. As a local nonprofit organization, our patients and hospitals depend on us to provide a steady and reliable blood supply. And we rely on you – volunteer blood donors and blood drive sponsors- to provide the life-saving blood and blood products needed. We work together at the donor centers in Appleton, Oshkosh, Little Chute, and Woodruff and through the more than 100 monthly mobile drives throughout Northeast Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Chicago, to collect more than 50,000 blood donations annually.

CBC takes blood donations, including red blood cells, platelets, and plasma, and processes them in our in-house laboratory. We hold ourselves, and each other, to the highest of standards and pride ourselves on safety and quality. These life-saving gifts are then distributed to the more than 30 local hospitals of which we are the sole provider of blood and blood products. These hospitals are throughout Northeast and Northcentral Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  We need to ensure a steady blood supply will be available so we can respond to traumas and urgent needs as they arise. And we're proud to say that no CBC-serviced hospital has had to cancel surgeries in the last 30 years because of the lack of blood. We are committed to supporting our communities through collaboration and teamwork. We are all integral in ensuring local patients have access to the life-saving blood and blood products needed. It takes us all.

NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS ( N.A.M.I) OF FOND DU LAC

NAMI Fond du Lac County is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a grassroots organization founded in 1979 that provides support groups, educational classes and presentations for peers & family members affected by mental illness. NAMI Fond du Lac seeks to empower those young and old affected by mental illness and reduce stigma through support, education and outreach. It is our vision for individuals to live in a safe and accepting environment that supports and promotes mental health and recovery. Mental illnesses are conditions that disrupt a person's thinking, feeling, mood, ability to relate to others and daily functioning. Just as diabetes is a disorder of the pancreas, mental illnesses are medical conditions that often result in a diminished capacity for coping with the ordinary demands of life. It is important to remember that this term refers to many diagnoses, that each person's experience with mental health issues is unique and that people have wide-ranging preferences about the language used to describe their experience. Mental illnesses can affect persons of any age, race, religion or income. Mental illnesses are not the result of personal weakness, lack of character or poor upbringing. Mental illnesses are treatable. Most people diagnosed with a serious mental illness can experience relief from their symptoms by actively participating in an individual treatment plan. Hope, Help and Recovery these are NAMI promises.¼ of our state's population experiences mental illness in a given year. If you or your loved one is suffering know that you are not alone, NAMI is here to help. If you would like to learn more about mental illnesses and all that NAMI Fond du Lac County is doing in our community, invite us to come speak to your civic group, service organization, employees or classroom. Recovery is possible and people with mental illness can not only survive – but thrive. Welcome to the NAMI-Fond du lac Community.

NAMI Fond du Lac is the only organization within Fond du Lac County that provides these uniquely evidence-based mental health Signature Programs to individuals, family, and youth in the community.
